Debit & ATM Cards

Debit Card Expiration Date Changes

For members that debit card is set to expire, expect your new card in the mail sooner.

In the past, replacement debit cards were mailed to members prior to debit cards expiring. In order to better serve you, JPEFCU has increased the scheduled delivery time.

Going forwards, members with debit cards set to expire will receive their replacement cards a month in advance of the expiration date. For example, if your card expires in June, you should receive your new card in the mail soon. In the past, replacement debit cards were mailed to members prior to debit cards expiring. In order to better serve you, JPEFCU has increased the scheduled delivery time.

Once your new card arrives, you should activate the card and begin using it. It is not necessary to wait until the old card expires to activate your new card. Please remember to properly discard the old card once you've activated the new card.

Traveling Abroad

with a JPEFCU VISA Debit Card?

If you’re going to be traveling abroad with your JPEFCU VISA Cards, for security reasons, we suggest you notify us beforehand and provide us with your travel dates (departing & returning) so that we may memo your account. If possible, you can also provide JPEFCU with a number where you can be reached.

VISA Security

Why? It’s for your safety & protection.

VISA Cards are monitored for suspect activity, a very valuable protection service for our cardholders.

When an unusual transaction occurs, your card may be flagged/suspended for your protection until you can be contacted to verify the activity. If you cannot be contacted, your card may be blocked-preventing you from using it. Next, JPEFCU would be notified. If we have your travel plans and a number to contact you, we can help you avoid the unnecessary inconvenience of not having access to your VISA Card when you need it most.
